Expedition to the Lost Towns of Russian History. 7 Days Itinerary Day 1 Orientation bus tour The golden and the silver ages of architecture in St. Petersburg. Stalins epoch architecture. Modern buildings. Visit of the Peter & Paul Fortress (the first construction in St. Petersburg) and St. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Day 2 Excursion to St.Isaac's Cathedral the forth largest cathedral in Europe and one of the symbols of St. Petersburg. Excursion to the Hermitage Museum, one of the largest art museums of the world. Excursion Petersburg in the night. View of the drawbridges opening. Day 3 Visit of the "Key" town Shlisselburg and Oreshek fortress, which was built in the 14th century. Day 4 Excursion to the Ethnographical Museum, it contains more than 300 items what tell you about the life style and culture of different peoples inhabiting Russia. Boat ride on the rivers and channels of St. Petersburg. Day 5 Trip to Novgorod (17 hours), centre of ancient Russian culture dates from the 10th century. Visit of the Novgorod Kremlin, Cathedral of St.Sophia (11th century), towers, monastery. Day 6 Boat ride to Peterhoff. Visit of the Grand Palace, summer residence of Peter the First and park, the masterpiece of fountain art of the 18th century. Night theatre performance. Day 7 Tour to the town of Old Ladoga.
